Perfect for A Little Princess

Pros: colorful, Inspires Imagination, Fun To Play With, Cute, Easy To Assemble, Good Variety, Stylish

Best Uses: Dress Up Dolls, Creative Play, Collecting, Independant Play

Describe Yourself: Parent of Two or More Children, Savvy Mom, Bargain Hunter, Education Oriented, Working Parent

This item was a pleasant surprise for under $10.

The princess doll is adorable and comes with 5 stretchy, rubbery outfits each with a matching pair of shoes. Belle also came with Mrs. Potts, Chip and if I'm not mistaken Lumiere too. She also came with a necklace and a rose. Great fun for vivid imaginations.

Children can mix and match the outfits for hours of fun.

Both my son and daughter had fun with this toy.

This item comes with a resuable zipper bag so you can keep all the small pieces together. It's also a convenient way to take this toy with you on playdates.

I would not recommend this for children under 3 because there are small pieces.

Those Are My Boys

Voice on the news: ...today Barack Obama was officially elected President. While the electoral votes were being counted the first stated announced - Alabama, Alaska, and Arizona all voted for John McCain...

Charlie: Those are my boys.

Dayngr: What's that?

Charlie: Those are my boys.

Dayngr: Who are your boys?

Charlie: John McCain and Barack Obama

Dayngr: Oh, those are your boys!

Seriously, he said that. He cracks me up.

First Act Discovery Guitar Review

This First Act Discovery 30 inch student acoustic guitar has great tone, comfort, and playability, with all wood construction and a steel-reinforced neck. Low string action means easy playing for beginners. All First Act Discovery guitars come with patented string post covers to protect little fingers... Originally submitted at Toys R Us

Great Fun

Pros: Educational, Lasting Fun, Good quality

Best Uses: Parties, Home, Outside

Describe Yourself: Education Oriented, Socially Responsible, Savvy Mom, Bargain Hunter, Considerate, Techie, Parent

This was ready to use out of the box but did not include a guitar pick so be sure to pick some up or your little one's fingers will be sore by the end of the day.

It doesn't come with a guitar strap so you may wish to pick one of those up as well.

Just the right size for 3 and up.

Be sure to tighten the strings before handing it off to the kids because once the strings come off, it may be difficult to get them back on if you've never done it before.

Guitar does have protective caps so the kids cannot undo the strings which is a nice plus.

Good quality piece for a kid's guitar. Worth the money for months of enjoyment. Our kids haven't put it down yet!

Wigging Out

Here the Dayngrous Duo are having a good time playing with their Nana's wig. What a silly bunch of goofballs. Ah well, at least they come by it naturally.

That's him first then her last - in case you couldn't tell without their natural hair color showing.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

You know we have so many great friends and extended family members out here in the blogosphere and across our social networks. Here's another holiday post giving thanks to everyone we've come to know and love.

You made our holidays so much better and brighter than we could have ever imagined - just by reaching out and sending a little love across the miles. Thank you sweet, sweet friends.

Thank you Uncle @TheRQ

Thank you Auntie @TamaraDorris

Thank you Uncle @Illig

The Dayngrous Duo were thrilled to have a new surprise waiting for them in each envelope. They enjoyed pretending to read them and they took great pleasure in finding a place of honor in our home for each card they received from you.

Some cards doubled as play toys before actually making it to the mantle and I tried to take photos with as many as we could before the Dayngrous Duo were off and running.

I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. You can see more on our flickr page too. But, you have to be logged in and on our "friend" list to see them.

What special surprises did you receive this holiday season?

Belated Christmas Cards

I don't think all these cards were actually sent late. In fact some of them were supposed to come in pairs but arrived at different times so I think that may have more to do with the post office and the time of year than the sender, know what I mean? Nonetheless, we were extra excited to see them and receive them a little after Christmas because it meant we could keep Christmas going a little longer. What a Merry Christmas it was too (and still is!).

The Dayngrous Duo and I would like to send a great big "Dating Game" kiss to all of you who took the time to send your good wishes to us this holiday season. You are truly angels!

Do you see your card here? If so, please leave a comment and let me know how you celebrated Christmas this year.

Thank you Auntie @Arielanna

Thank you Uncle @BobBlass & his sweet daughter

Popcorn Factory Goodness

Have you ever had popcorn from the Popcorn Factory? We used to get these as gifts from our corporate partners when I worked at a big Fortune 500 company. Yummy!

We don't have a diswasher in our house. I know, how old school huh? This is what we call a Christmas miracle around these parts. LOL!

So Much Extra Love

You might remember this post where I asked you to send holiday cards to the Dayngrous Duo, if you had a little extra love to spare. Not only did so many of you send cards but you wrote the most beautiful, heartfelt messages of support to us.

I can't even begin to tell you how overwhelmed with emotion I was when the Dayngrous Duo opened their cards and photos of you with your families were included, when I saw your kids had signed the cards, when your children drew pictures and we found handmade cards. I was blown away when some included gift cards for the Dayngrous Duo to places like Toys R Us and Target so they could pick up something special from their Secret Santas.

You have shown us that this Christmas was about something more important than presents or material things. You reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas - faith, hope, charity, kindness, generosity, love, compassion and so much more.

Here are the beautiful cards we received from you. You have such beautiful souls. We are so appreciative.

There are more detailed photos on Flickr.

Big Hugs to Uncle Todd and Family

Uncle Todd and Auntie Sharon sent us the best surprises ever! Here's one of them. It was the "Sesame Street 25th Birthday: A Musical Celebration" DVD. One whole hour of Sesame Street goodness and all the best songs we know and love.

Some of our favorite songs are:

C is for Cookie
Rubber Duckie
The Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree

We love you Uncle Todd and send our hugs and kisses to you and your beautiful, loving family. You helped to make our Christmas that much more special. We're so happy to count you as a part of our extended family.

Please leave your comments and thoughts. We'd love to read them!

Holiday Cards Galore

Thank you so very much to everyone who sent holiday cards to the Dayngrous Duo. We'll be sharing photos of them opening cards, photos of them posing with some of the cards (as many as we could convinced them to stand still for) and of course all the cards on display on our sideboards.

We were truly blessed this year by knowing each and every one of you and for having you as a part of our extended family. You are in our prayers every day.

Thank you for making this Christmas the most meaningful, beautiful and cherished.

Love from Across the Miles

Thank you Uncle Mike and family! We loved your card and your creativity. We had so much fun opening it and reading it. We put it up on the built in bookcase - aka "sideboard" and will share photos of it with you in a later post.

Love ya bunches and bunches. Thank you for making this Christmas that much sweeter.

Surprise Visit From Santa

This year the Dayngrous Duo received a surprised visit from Santa Claus on the evening of December 18th. It was such a huge surprise that even the Dayngrous one herself was caught off guard.

Later, when Santa had to fly off to check in on the Toy Shop back and the North Pole, some of his elves stopped by and decorated our front yard with candy canes up and down our walkway. Then they helped me get our Christmas decorations down from storage. It was a very special night!

Big thanks to our very own angel (pictured here) who set it all up, helping to make this Christmas one of the very best for the Dayngrous Duo - and their mommy too!

It's a Wonderful Life

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! I hope you had the opportunity to spend it with those you love and those that love you to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas.

Things were so busy here in the DayngrZone, making sure work was done before the holidays and my home was in order, that I didn't really get a chance to sit down and wish you a Merry Christmas or write more regularly. But, I know you understand that.

As I mentioned before, this Christmas was going to be a very different one for us. Because of what was (is) going on here, I thought this holiday season was going to be the darkest, bleakest and most depressing ever. What it ended up being was the complete opposite.

This holiday season I experienced, more than I have ever before, the true meaning of Christmas - thanks to my friends (online and off) and my family. It kind of reminded me of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life."

Over the next several days I'm going to use my blog to honor and thanks everyone who helped us and reminded us how blessed we truly are to know them and have them as a part of our extended family. Be prepared for tons of Christmas posts and holiday photos.

With that said, let the posting begin!
