From Hanau Germany to Baghdad International Airport (2002-2004). From Fort Bragg, NC to Phoenix, AZ. I bring you Paradigm. While I was going to college, my name was D.. SmOoOth. Paradigm is what I am today, creating concepts of sound, vision, and values.
When I was in Iraq, I was playing with this software Reason by Propellerhead. I did not have a keyboard, so I had to use my laptop keyboard to produce my first song, Bee-Zar. The video that is included in this podcast feed includes the Bee-Zar music along with a video slide show of pictures I took between April 2003 and November 2003 when I was in Kuwait and Iraq.
The Sentiment is the name of the second album under my title as Paradigm.
Before I went to Iraq, I got a hold of a program that allowed me to mix beats. That's all this is. A beat machine of some sorts. My first album under Paradigm is Pulchritude.
According to Dictionary.com, Pulchritude is "physical beauty; comeliness."
This album includes a lot of cool beats for dancing, which also includes a little disco and latin flavor as well. I only had the demo version, so I did not have a LOT of choices in the choice of sounds. BUT, with only a few samples, I came up with 45 minutes worth of music which I am actually proud of.
